Proposed 2021 MPFS: Overall impact by specialty

As part of the proposed 2021 MPFS changes, radiology is set to see an overall payment reduction of 11% to accommodate scheduled payment boosts for E/M services, and numerous other specialties are set to experience significant payment reductions as well. While these changes have been longed signaled, it’s difficult to stomach CMS asking specialists to take such substantial pay cuts during a public health emergency.
